The City of Whitehorse continues to make improvements to its e-permitting system for development and building permits.
Following feedback from applicants and industry representatives, the City is making changes to streamline processes, enhance workflow, and improve functionality and user experience.
The updates will make the system easier to navigate and understand and provide applicants with additional info to guide them through each step of the permit application process. These user-friendly improvements will make it easier for applicants to apply for development and building permits.
Heading into the 2026 construction season, the Building Services Department is fully staffed and ready to process applications, issue permits and conduct building inspections to support development in Whitehorse.
Staff are available in-person to assist applicants with the e-permitting system at the new Building Services office, located in the Whitehorse Operations Building at 187 Range Road.
The City’s e-permitting system allows applicants to:
– Apply for building and development permits online – No in-person visits required
– Know the status of your application at any time – Track permit status online in real-time
– Submit documents online at any time – No in-person visits required
– Save time and receive your approval more quickly – Reduced wait times and streamlined approvals
