At this week’s Fridays in the Park:
Yukon Environment
YG’s Fish and Wildlife Branch is bringing their Mega Mammals to FITP! Through hands-on activities, this program offers a chance to discover more about large mammals like bears, wolves, moose and caribou.
The Disciples Robotics Team
Join the team for an exciting demonstration of what it takes to compete in a robotics competition—from building robots to putting them into action!
Humane Society Yukon
The Humane Society team will be demonstrating how to safely handle and care for dogs and puppies.
We’ll also have the City’s Water and Waste team joining the fun with waste diversion-themed cornhole, and the Bylaw team attending to talk about bike safety. The Whitehorse Fire Department will also be in the park to chat about general fire and home safety.
The City’s Parks team is bringing games, freezies and Klondike Kettle Corn to share!
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, we kindly ask that children under 12 be accompanied by a guardian throughout the event. Weather dependent. Contact [email protected] for more info.
