Help shape Whitehorse’s Community Wildfire Protection Plan

The City wants your input as we develop a Community Wildfire Protection Plan for Whitehorse.

You know your neighbourhood best – help us build a more wildfire-resilient community by sharing your concerns, priorities, and ideas.

The Community Wildfire Protection Plan will assess hazards and risks, identify areas of concern, and recommend actions in four key areas:

• Management and mitigation;
• Emergency planning and preparedness;
• Future development planning and legislation; and
• Homeowner protection and education.

The development of this strategic plan is being funded by the Government of Yukon and will build on Whitehorse’s Wildfire Risk Reduction Strategy.
