Holiday Hours for City Facilities and Services

Many City of Whitehorse offices, including City Hall, will be closed Wednesday, December 25 and Thursday, December 26.

City offices will also be closed on Wednesday, January 1.

Weekend bus service will be in effect on Thursday, December 26. There will be no service on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Transit will operate on its regular weekday schedule on Tuesday, December 24 and Tuesday, December 31.

The Canada Games Centre will operate with reduced hours on Tuesday, December 24 from 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Tuesday, December 31 from 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The facility will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.

The Waste Management Facility will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

On Boxing Day, tipping fees will be waived for self-hauled loads of sorted residential waste.

Tipping fees still apply for metals, appliances and all commercial loads. For more details, visit whitehorse.ca/wasteservices.
