The City is preparing to install new bicycle racks to enhance the active transportation network.
Cement is being installed to accommodate six new bicycle racks at the entrance to Canada Games Centre. Bike parking options will remain available at the Canada Games Centre while the work is underway.
Cement will also be installed downtown for new bike racks at Front Street and Main Street, 302 Ogilvie Street, and 5110 Fifth Avenue. Additionally, new racks will be installed at 2099 Second Avenue and on Front Street across from the Horwoods Mall.
Thank you to the residents that suggested locations for new bicycle racks to support active transportation.
Work is scheduled to take place throughout September and is weather-dependent.
Temporary traffic control measures will be in place around work sites. Cyclists and pedestrians are asked to be cautious and follow signage and directions.
The City thanks residents for their patience while the work is underway.
