The City is moving forward with plans for new recycling services in Whitehorse.
Work is underway to award a contract to deliver a new temporary curbside recycling program to households currently eligible for the City’s curbside waste service.
The service will offer bi-weekly collection of recyclables. A neighbourhood collection schedule is being developed and the service is expected to begin in December.
All residents will soon be able to drop off recycling at a new temporary recycling depot at the City’s Waste Management Facility. The depot is on track to open in early September.
More details about new recycling services in Whitehorse will be provided in the coming weeks.
