Spring maintenance on City roads is now underway, while crews continue dealing with snow clearing following record snowfall.
A late start to the spring is delaying some regular maintenance activities.
Washing and sweeping of City streets and sidewalks has begun and will ramp up as weather conditions permit.
Line painting is anticipated to begin in late May. This work is dependent on ground temperatures and starts after street sweeping is underway.
In the meantime, crews are busy repairing potholes, clearing snow on seasonal roads and paved trails, sanding when necessary and working to keep storm drains clear.
The public is asked to give staff space to work safely, travel with care, reduce speed, and obey traffic signage.
