Summit Road Closure

The City of Whitehorse is advising residents a portion of Summit Road is scheduled to be closed from Monday, June 9 to Wednesday, June 11.

ATCO Electric Yukon’s contractor will be digging in the area to access shallow utilities underneath Summit Road between Roundel Road and Sunset Drive North. This work is part of the Hillcrest Reconstruction Phase 1A work.

A detour will be in place on Roundel Road. Drivers are asked to proceed with caution and follow all signage and traffic control measures.

The Transit stop at Sunset Drive North and Summit Road will be closed. Transit users are advised to catch the bus or disembark at alternative stops in Hillcrest:

– Burns Road and Roundel Road

– Hillcrest Drive and Burns Road

– Hillcrest Drive and Dalton Trail

– Sunset Drive North

Transit routes and schedules are available at whitehorse.ca/transit. Bus locations are also available in real-time using the TransLoc app.
