Tree clearing planned

The City will be clearing trees on Whistle Bend Way near Wann Road and Hickory Street in the coming days to prepare for planned resurfacing work on Whistle Bend Way.

Tree removal will help improve sight lines at the intersection, reestablish the ditch, and provide improvements for snow removal in the future.

The City is committed to minimizing impacts and following environmental best practises. Clearing will happen ahead of Friday, May 1, the beginning of the seasonal bird nesting period, and only in areas where necessary.

There may be short-term noise or traffic disruptions while this is underway and the City appreciates the public’s patience.
