Utility bills

Your first quarter City of Whitehorse utility bills will be arriving in mailboxes soon and property owners may notice an increase.

A five per cent rise in the water and sewer rate and a 4.01 per cent increase to the solid waste service fee for waste collection was approved in the City’s 2024 Operating Budget.

This means the average quarterly bill for a single family home has increased from $308.88 to $323.91, while households with one suite will see their bills rise from $484.71 to $508.11.

A penalty of 10 per cent applies to bills not paid by their due date. First quarter utility bills are due May 30.
