Yukon River Quest

A small section of the Riverfront Trail will be closed briefly on Wednesday, June 25.

The closure will be in effect from 8:50 a.m. to 9:05 a.m. along a 100-metre section of the trail near Rotary Park for the start of the Yukon River Quest.

Paddlers will start the race at 9 a.m. with a run from the picnic shelter in Rotary Park to the boat launch. The trail closure will ensure safety for both trail users and River Quest participants.

Good luck to all this year’s participants!

Trail users in the area are invited to stop and witness the start of the race or use an alternative route around the park. Directions to the alternative route will be posted at the Robert Campbell Bridge near the park.
