This year, the City is celebrating its 40th anniversary of the Sister City Exchange Program with Ushiku, Japan.
The City is looking for host families to welcome students and adult chaperones visiting Whitehorse from Ushiku between July 24 and August 3, 2025.
As a host family, you will have the opportunity to share the beauty and culture of Whitehorse with visitors from Japan, while also learning about their culture in return. This is a unique chance to build lasting connections and foster international understanding.
Youth ages 13-18 from host families are also invited to participate in all of the exciting activities planned for the Ushiku students during their visit.
