Active commute trail counters

The City is installing two permanent trail counters on the Hamilton Boulevard Trail at the Canada Games Centre and the Riverfront Trail near Quartz Road and Chilkoot Way.

This is part of the City’s ongoing effort to collect information and better understand how and when people are using Whitehorse trails.

Maintenance work will also be underway to inspect and repair trail counters on the Robert Campbell Bridge.

Work to install and maintain the trail counters will be underway during daytime hours, outside of peak periods. Trail users can expect single-lane closures, but there will be no detours. Trail users are asked to use caution when in the area.
