New Transit fares set for July 1

New fares for Transit service come into effect on Tuesday, July 1:

• Cash fares – $3
• Ticket strips (10 tickets per strip) – $28 for adults; $21 for students and youth ages 5-18; and $12 for elders/seniors ages 60+ or those with disabilities (subject to eligibility requirements)
• Monthly passes – $75 for adults; $56 for students and youth ages 5-18; and $33 for elder/seniors ages 60+ or those with disabilities (subject to eligibility requirements)

Use the Token Transit app to purchase individual bus tickets or passes on your smartphone.

The updated fares were approved as part of the City’s 2025-2027 Operating Budget and will help the City continue to maintain service to Whitehorse residents.

Children under the age of 5 will continue to ride for free for up to two children with an accompanying adult. Youth fares will apply for any additional preschoolers with an accompanying adult.
