The Canada Games Centre is set to be a busy spot this weekend, beginning Friday.
The Yukon Championships Invitational Swim Meet is taking place at the Canada Games Centre from Friday, May 1 to Sunday, May 3.
To accommodate the swimming competition, the Whitehorse Lions Aquatic Centre will be closed to the public throughout the swim meet beginning at 5:30 a.m. on May 1. There will be no swimming lessons over the weekend. The pool will reopen to the public on Monday, May 4 at 5:30 a.m.
The CGC will also welcome judokas from across the territory for the Yukon Judo Championships on Saturday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Fieldhouse.
Additionally, the Yukon Fish & Game Association will host its Outdoor Expo from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 2 in the ATCO Arena.
With a busy weekend ahead, parking will be limited. Anyone planning to visit the facility is encouraged to use active transportation, carpool, use overflow parking or take Transit to assist with traffic flow. Drivers are asked to respect designated spaces.
Please do not block accessible parking spaces, vehicle lanes, or bus stops along Hamilton Boulevard.
