National Indigenous Peoples Day

National Indigenous Peoples Day is Saturday, June 21.

The Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre will host a full day of celebrations beginning at 9:30 a.m. and continuing into the evening. A full schedule is available at kwanlindunculturalcentre.com

There will be some impacts on municipal services.

Saturday, June 21

Most City services and facilities will be closed, including the Canada Games Centre.

The Waste Management Facility will operate as usual.

Transit will operate on its weekend schedule.

Monday, June 23

Most City services and facilities, including City Hall, will be closed.

The Canada Games Centre and Waste Management Facility will be open as usual.

The Frank Slim Building in Shipyards Park will be open 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Curbside collection will continue as normal for Logan, Copper Ridge, and Whistle Bend.

Transit will operate on its weekend schedule.
