ATVs are permitted on motorized multi-use (MMU) trails in Whitehorse between April 1 and October 31. All recreational vehicles with 2, 3, 4 or 8+ wheels are considered ATVs, including both gas and electric dirt bikes, quads and other similar vehicles.
Please respect other trail users and greenspaces by staying on designated MMU trails suitable for ATV use. Explore designated trails by using our Interactive Trails Map.
Please keep in mind that not all MMU trails are ready for ATV use in early spring. Riding on trails that are still wet and muddy can cause damage and may result in poor trail conditions, safety issues, and increased maintenance requirements. Please consider other options when a trail is soft.
Operators are required to be 16 years or older, wear a helmet while riding, have a valid driver’s license, insurance, certificate of registration with the license plate displayed on the ATV, and a valid ATV Safe Card.
