Volunteer of the Year
Tracey Bilsky is the City of Whitehorse 2026 Volunteer of the Year!
Tracey is being recognized for her work as the President of the 2026 Arctic Winter Games Host Society.
In this role, Tracey supported the Arctic Winter Games Board of Directors, General Manager, staff team, volunteers, committees, sponsors, and community partners, helping guide the community toward a successful 2026 Arctic Winter Games.
According to her nomination, “What stands out most about Tracey is her ability to lead with both strength and kindness.”
She has demonstrated extraordinary commitment to youth, sport, culture, and community, and she exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism.
Tracey was presented with the award at a special ceremony at City Hall on July 7.
The City of Whitehorse has been celebrating its dedicated volunteer community since 1987.

The City of Whitehorse values the importance of volunteers and their contributions to our community. Since 1987, it has celebrated and publicly acknowledged outstanding volunteers by providing an opportunity for residents to recognize and appreciate volunteers.
Each spring, we invite organizations to nominate an individual as a candidate for this honour. The nominee should be someone who has made a significant contribution to an organization or to the community as a whole.
The 2027 nomination period will open in January 2027.
