Long Lake
Long Lake is a popular year-round recreation destination.
During the summer, the site is a favourite among locals and visitors for hiking, biking, swimming, and paddling.
The lake features a dock with a ladder and benches as well as a lifejacket loaner station. The City’s swimming instructors will often teach classes there.
During the winter, the area is used for cross county skiing and snowshoeing.
The Long Lake Loop Trail is approximately 2.8 km and connects to a larger network of trails in Riverdale.
Directions
Long Lake is a short trip from Downtown Whitehorse. Cross the Robert Campbell Bridge into the Riverdale neighbourhood, and turn left onto Hospital Road. Take the next left onto Wickstrom Road. The road turns to gravel and climbs up away from the river. After 3.5 km, the parking area is on your right.
