Fitness
The Canada Games Centre offers a weight room, running track and drop-in fitness classes, all included with your membership or daily admission.
The Canada Games Centre offers registered fitness programs and preregistered drop-in fitness classes for participants 15 years and older in both the Wellness Studio and Coca-Cola Fieldhouse.

- Ages 15+ years.
- Late entry not permitted.
- Food and drink not permitted except water in a glass-free container.
- Indoor athletic footwear only.
- Avoid wearing scented products.
- Wipe down and put away equipment after use.
- People under the influence of alcohol or drugs not permitted.
- Abusive or offensive language will not be tolerated.
- Appropriate gym attire required. Belt buckles and jeans are prohibited.
- Clean indoor shoes are required for all classes except Yoga and Barre classes, which can be attended barefoot or in yoga socks.
You require a PLAY account to preregister for fitness classes
- Go to the online drop-in schedule.
- Click on “Fitness Drop-in”, under the Health & Wellness box.
- Find the class you want to register for and click the blue “Book Now” button (available 25 hours prior to class start).
- You will be taken to the class description page where you again need to click “Book Now”.
- Log into your account.
- To use your membership benefits, active 30 day, 6 month and 1 year members must select “membership drop in fee” at no cost.
- Non-members and 10 punch pass* holders will see and pay the daily admission fee.
- Select “Process” to complete your registration.
- Once registered you will receive a confirmation email.
*10 punch pass holders are not able to preregister online using a punch. A punch can be used for a fitness class only in person on the day of the class.
- Anyone who is not a member and does not have a PLAY account, will be considered a walk-in.
- Walk-ins do not qualify for the 25 hours preregistration window and will need to register at the front reception no sooner than 1 hour prior to the start of the class.
- Make sure to get a receipt. You will need this to show a fitness staff before entering the class.
- Cancellation is free, up to 1 hour before the start of class without penalty.
- It can be done online, in person or over the phone by calling reception (867-668-8360).
- To cancel your fitness class reservation online, view the Schedule section of your client profile. Switch from “Calendar View” to “List View” and then select “Withdrawal” to begin.
- If you register and do not attend or are late for class you will be considered a “No show”.
- “No Show” members (30 days, 6 month and 1 year) will be charged a “no show” fee of a daily admission.
- “No show” punch pass holders and non-members will not be refunded for the admission fee / punch already paid.
Upon Arriving
- All preregistered participants can go straight to their class location (don’t stop at reception).
- Scan in outside your class, using your membership card, key tag or on your phone (using Klarna app), with a fitness staff.
- Walk-ins participant must present their receipt to a fitness staff.
Our Wellness Centre is a friendly inclusive community gym which offers free weights, cable stations, weight machines and cardio equipment. We also have a dedicated stretching area, and accessible SCIFIT machines for adapted fitness.

- Children under 13 years not permitted.
- Children 13–14 years must be supervised by an adult.
- Food and drink not permitted except water in a glass-free container.
- Avoid wearing scented products.
- Chalk or powder not permitted.
- Maximum time on cardio machines: 30 minutes during peak hours.
- Personal trainers not permitted.
- Indoor athletic footwear only. Sandals, crocs, watershoes and boots prohibited.
- Appropriate gym attire required. Belt buckles and jeans are prohibited.
- People under the influence of alcohol or drugs not permitted.
- Abusive or offensive language will not be tolerated.
- Wipe down all equipment after use.
- Rack weights after use.
- Keep weights from smashing together or hitting the floor.
- Respect the space and workout of other people.
- Cell phone use is discouraged. Keep chatting to a minimum.
Upon Arriving
- Check in at reception and get a wristband (this must be visible on your wrist).
- Wellness Centre, change rooms and lockers (coin or bring your own lock options) are located on the the 2nd floor.
- Lock up your personal items and leave your valuables at home.
Entering the Wellness Centre
- Familiarize yourself with the rules and gym etiquette.
- Appropriate clean indoor athletic shoes are required.
- Being barefoot/sock footed is not permitted.
- Be prepare to show your wristband if asked.
- You can book a Wellness Program Design with a certified CGC Fitness Specialists to create a customized workout plan.
- Outside Personal Trainers and Outside Training within all areas of the Canada Games Centre is not permitted as part of our Third Party Training Policy.
Our running track is 215 meters in length and features 3 lanes, labeled from fast to slow. The direction of the track alternates daily. Along the outer edge of the track, you’ll find a range of cardio equipment and strength machines.

- Children 0 –14 years must be supervised by an adult.

- Follow directional signs for the correct use of track.
- Check before passing another runner.
- People under the influence of alcohol or drugs not permitted.

Clockwise: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays
Counterclockwise: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays
