Maintenance work at the CGC
The Canada Games Centre (CGC) was built 20 years ago. As a facility entering its third decade of operation, the CGC needs ongoing maintenance to keep it operational.
The City is committed to investing in the CGC to maintain existing service levels and ensure the facility can continue to provide high-quality recreational opportunities for residents and user groups for decades to come. We are also committed to keep residents informed about work that will impact their use of the CGC.
On this page you can find information about upcoming maintenance work occurring at the CGC. Check back for updates.
Maintenance work at the CGC will impact use of the facility, including the need to close off sections of the building to the public for periods of time.
The City aims to minimize impacts on users as much as possible. Much of the maintenance work is subject to contractor availability, especially work that requires specialized contractors. However, the City works closely with user groups to minimize impacts through scheduling and alternative programming.
