Volunteer Firefighters
The Fire and Protective Services department has a full-time fire crew supported by volunteer firefighters.
Volunteers are a very important part of the City’s ability to protect property and lives of Whitehorse residents.
The department occasionally fills vacancies externally, however preference is given to current volunteer members who are certified NFPA 1001 Firefighter Level II, IFSAC or PROBOARD.
Please note we are not currently recruiting members at this time. However, you can send your resume and certificates to the Chief Training Officer at [email protected] and they will be kept on file for any future recruitment occurring.
