Shipyards Park

Shipyards Park is located along the bank of the Yukon River on Second Avenue. This park was designed to be enjoyed year-round and offers a large open space for festivals and community events.

Park amenities include:

Jumpstart Inclusive Playground: A sensory-friendly space designed for all abilities.

Gazebo and firepit: Enjoy the warmth of the firepits, including one by the riverfront.

Covered Stage: Ideal for outdoor performances and gatherings.

Skating Loop (also used in summer): A popular winter activity that transforms into a walking path in the summer.

Toboggan Hill (also used in summer): Perfect for winter tobogganing and fun during the warmer months.

Frank Slim Building: A public facility offering washrooms, free wifi, and a cozy Fireplace Room open daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Public washrooms are open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and weekends from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Closed Christmas and New Year’s Day
